The John Crews ICON Punch Rod is every serious angler’s dream rod. A lighter blank yet durable blank will leave you comfortable all day punching the cover, without compromising the back-bone needed to hoist record breaking bass.
The blanks are crowned by a sequence of American Tackle Micro-Wave Guides that offer better line control, increased accuracy, and maximum casting distance. You’ll notice that the guides have been spiral wrapped around the blank, specifically to prevent the line from wrapping around the tip when the heavy bait hits the mat or the water. The back end of the rods sport ergonomic American Tackle Reel Seats with custom cut-down threads for a better feel in hand. The reel seats are bookended by Cashion’s carbon fiber / fiberglass split grips which not only offer a comfortably secure hold but also deliver increased sensitivity and longevity.
