There arefour general purpose sizes: 500, 1000, 2500HG and 4000, which cover all manner of light line situations, from bait fishing to Squidgy soft plastic and hardbody lure casting. Gear ratios in the 1000 FG is 5:1, while the 4000 FG is slightly faster at 5.2:1, and the 2500HG FG is a lot faster at 6.2:1. They punch out 8.5kg maximum drag (the 4000 model) and the AR-C die-cast aluminium spools hold a generous amount of monofilament and a lot more of braid.

DynaBalance DynaBalance reduces wobble during the retrieve by counter balancing the rotor to enhance sensitivity and smoothness. By using computer balancing Shimano are able to redistribute the rotor weight to create eliminate vibrations.
AR-C Spool A patented spool design with a V-shape spool lip means line peels off the reel in smaller loops, resulting in longer and more accurate casts. The AR-C spool also minimises the risk of backlash.
Diecasted AluminiumSuperior aircraft-grade Super Duralumin material. A7075 alloy is used for high strength, low weight as well as coating of Black Almite for scratch and corrosion resistance.
