A well-kept secret of the Megabass Pro Team, the Trick Darter features the same legendary Multi-Way Moving Balancer System, as the Vision Oneten and is designed to move with an insane darting action that surpasses that of even the Vision Oneten.
With the addition of a fixed balancer in front, a spoonbill lip, and our infamous tungsten balancer system, the Trick Darter will truly “flee” erratically with short snaps of the rod, and draw reaction strikes from the most timid fish in the lake.
Although it is a small size with a total length of 80 mm, its height is set to 1.7 times that of the conventional Minnow, in order to bring an impact that exceeds the size. It has actually been designed to be an intermediate shape between Minnow and Shad.
Anglers who have experienced the effectiveness of the Vision 110 will be equally impressed with the X-80 Trick Darter. A long time favorite of many top U.S. bass fishing professionals, the Trick Darter truly comes alive in the water. The smaller, realistically profiled Trick Darter features the same legendary Multiway Moving Balancer System (Pat.) as the Vision 110, with the addition of a fixed balancer in front, allowing for easy casts and incredible action.
The Trick Darter will dart erratically with short snaps of the rod tip, and will draw reaction strikes from the most timid fish in the lake.The Trick Darter is a particularly deadly lure for pre-spawn bass in clear water. Many times, especially after a cold front passes through, the Trick Darter will continue to produce great results when larger jerk baits aren’t getting the bites.
This Shiner body and the unique interior developed exclusively for the X-80 by Ito, produces a dynamic flash, a wide irregular darting action and a sharp fluttering.
The ideal conditions for fishing the Trick Darter are in water visibilities between 2 to 20ft., combined with water temps between 38 and 65 degrees. However, the Trick Darter will produce in any weather condition; anglers will find the Trick Darter will continue to draw strikes on slick, sunny days when other lures won’t.
Unlike conventional minnowshaped jerk baits, the X-80 looks more like a Shad, or a Shiner.
Since baitfish with wider bodies flash more noticeably and are heartier meals for predators, the X-80 will attract larger fish. Furthermore, the X-80 swims with a distinct rolling wobble, an action that helps put our baits a world apart from the rest.
