AR-C Spool– A patented spool design with a V-shape spool lip means line peels off the reel in smaller loops, resulting in longer and more accurate casts.The AR-C spool also minimizes the risk of backlash.

Super Stopper 2– With the reel set in anti-reverse mode you’ll find zero free-play on the handle thanks to Super Stopper II. Unerringly positive every time, its practical benefits include micro incremental settings of quiver tips or specialist bite indicators, and faster hook setting.

Dyna Balance– This feature eliminates wobble during the retrieve by counter balancing the rotor to enhance sensitivity and smoothness. By using computer balancing, an approach similar to car tire balancing, we are able to redistribute the rotor weight to create smooth rotation and eliminate vibrations.

Power Roller– The special design of the Shimano Power Roller significantly reduces line twist during the retrieve and is a big advantage when using thin mono and braid.

2 Speed Oscillation-An advanced way of laying the line onto the spool during the retrieve. As the rotor turns, the spool moves forward quickly then returns slowly. This prevents the coils of line on the spool from interacting with each other and improves casting performance.

Aero Wrap is a worm gear oscillation system with specially designed pitch to create optimal oscillation speeds. This provides great uniform line lay to reduce loss of energy during the cast.

Instant Drag –Allows the drag setting to be switched from free spool to a “fight” setting by tightening the Instant Drag lever on the front of the spool in only a few turns.

XT7 – The original Shimano composite reel material. Used on midpriced and budget reels and spools XT7 is reliable, robust and lightweight.
