Drag – Produces a powerful drag force of up to 12 kg. The Wide Basal is equipped with a large drag washer, for stopping power to be dispersed over a wider drag area. A drag click sound system has also been newly installed.

Spool – A forged aluminum spool that balances strength and weight. The drag system employs a six-point, centrifugal drag, a technology we have come across in other reel manufacturers. The spool uses centrifugal force, rather than magnets to aid controlling the cast. The individual brake weights, are forced outward at the beginning of the cast when backlashes most often occur, causing friction that reduces the speed of the spool. Once the spool speed begins to slow, the pressure lessens, allowing the spool to continue spinning. The result is a much more consistent spool speed that is easier to manage and takes advantage of the reels maximum casting distance.

Side Cover – The side cover has a line memory function. Set it to the thickness of the braid that you tend to use.
