The Hearty Rise Micro Jigging Assist Hooks are made of high-carbon steel for unmatched strength. Carbon steel is an alloy steel, with carbon content between 0.64% and 0.70% by weight typically used in tool construction. High carbon steel is very difficult to cut, bend and weld. Once heat treated it becomes extremely hard and brittle.
The MJA-10 Assist Hooks are ideal for Light Shore Jigging and Light Vertical Jigging jigs. Hearty Rise has developed these hooks for high strength, high rigidity and high penetration properties. Their light weight do not impede the jigs casting or motion properties.
The points on the Hearty Rise Micro Jigging Assist hooks were designed to curve in slightly, so they are protected against prolonged banging against the jigs, but at the same time they penetrate the fishs mouth automatically.
Forged for strength with spade end, with a short assist line, the Hearty Rise Micro Assists are perfect for small lures. They feature a heavy gauge providing excellent strength to the hook and a loop that goes through a solid ring and discourages the hooks from tangling.
