From Summer to Autumn, the Red Sea Bream, which are eating only anchovies, are surprisingly selective. However, most jigs which resemble the shape and size of a sardine sink too fast and as a result become ineffective.
The Shimano Ocea Butterfly Center Sardine jigs have an attractive horizontal fall, hence they remain longer in the strike zone. Even the slightest jerk of your rod, can produce a weak, natural movement, such as an instant shake of the jigs head.
The Center Butterfly jig is center balanced, yet it produces an erratic, natural, motion pattern, that really makes a difference. During the retrieve, the Center Sardine will impart a sliding action, followed by a rolling of its body. This is exactly like a last grasp movement of dying baitfish, trying to make an escape. It will drive the predator fish crazy and cause an instinctive bite reaction, giving angler a good hook-set.
They are available in two sizes 70 and 90 gr and 4 colors. They do not include an assist hook.
