The Kaiteki Real Okami Worm is almost like the real thing; it has a real shape, the natural size and the real colors of the krill type worm. In addition they are enhanced with natural shrimp odor and amino acids in an effort to appeal to more than one predatory instincts. Daiwa has managed to produce a masterpiece of realism, especially when it comes to the Fresh Krill.
Throw a Kaiteki Okiami amongst fresh shrimps and it will be a challenging task to tell it apart. The attention to detail such as the legs, the maxillipeds, the antenna, the pleopods, the abdomen, the realistic eyes can all make a difference that matters in fishing.
The Daiwa Kaiteki Real Okiami is an ideal addition on the Assist Hook of a Tenya, Micro Tenya, or Tai Rubber jig if you are fishing from the boat, but it can also perform well when rigged with Jigheads, and Texas rigs in Light fishing styles. They are also ideal in Ajing, Light and Heavy Rock Fishing from the shore, targeting all the bottom species that heavily feed on krill and shrimps.
However, its use requires the appropriate attention and skill. Daiwa in its attempt to produce a realistic shrimp also simulated the texture of its flesh, with the result being that the silicone is very sensitive and soft, so it can be easily cut after an attack. We suggest using it after first exploring the field using other lures, as Painted Comber, Rainbow Wrasse, or Comber will most probably attack and damage the Kaiteki Okiami’s body, when all the time they are not a satisfactory catch. Save the Daiwa shrimp when you realize that the White Seabream will not respond to the action of any other lure. On the contrary, if there are Guelly Jacks in the area, the Kaiteki Okiami is the ideal bait, as their jaws do not cut deep.
