Based on the experience and expertise of Japanese fishermen, Shimano developed a wide range of lures, for a variety of fishing techniques. Shimano called it the “Lure Project”. As a result of this, the Cardiff lures family was released, at 5 and 6.7 cm of length.
The PJ Minnow Cardiff was developed to be used in Light, In- Shore fishing styles, targeting predatory fish such as White Seabream and Saddled Seabream.
