This rod is the perfect choice when you want to fish for big Tuna with a reasonable priced, powerful and trustworthy stand-up rod. It is a relatively short, one piece rod designed for targeting large hard fighting fish. The powerful action of the TLD Stand Up allows the angler to put pressure to the fish, without fatigue, or strain even during a long battle.
The 50 LB model has roller guides which allow the smooth line flow. It can be combined with Monel wire, but it is not recommended for braid.
Shimano equipped the TLD A Stand Up rod with Pac-Bay reel seat and full EVA handle, to add comfort and a secure grip, even with wet hands.
