The Daiwa Ballistic you have come to know and love, has been redesigned and upgraded. Still featuring the LT Concept for the ultimate in Light and Tough performance, but it now comes complete with the Monocoque Body (MQ) for even more power and a more compact frame. The Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT addresses dedicated anglers and provides the optimal basis for worry free fishing, both in fresh and sea water.

Thanks to the LT design, the Ballistic is smaller and more lightweight.

An MQ frame design, allowed Daiwa to fit a larger gear inside of the reel, adding power and longevity to your gear set. Once the gear is mounted in the distortion proof, MQ body, it offers permanently smooth running also under high strain. The MQ is one of the most exciting technologies in the spinning reel game. The Daiwa Monocoque body, is an one-piece frame – eliminating the use of traditional two-piece Body & Sideplate construction. A single piece body utilizes a screw-in engine plate to house the main gear, reducing flex and twist under load creating a sealed gear box. The elimination of the side plate also has also allowed for a more compact body design as well as room for a larger gear compared to standard reel frame designs. MQ technology not only makes reels stronger & better sealed, but also more compact. Screws need material to grip to, and that means more overall size and more mass in traditional body designs. By replacing the side plate with a machined aluminium engine plate which screws directly into the reel body, MQ reels can maximize the internal space made available, by using larger size drive gears than before and allowing for a more compact and more weather resistant housing. On top of the weather resistance added from the MQ Technology, these reels also feature a rubber seal system for the ultimate protection from the elements.

Utilizing Daiwas all new Zaion-V frame material, which is a more machinable compound, than standard Zaion, allows Daiwa to feature Zaion-V in a wider range of reels. Very similar in function to Zaion, Zaion-V is extremely durable, corrosion resistant and rigid.

Complete with a Magsealed main shaft to prevent water and debris intrusion, the Ballistic MQ LT is ready to take on the toughest battles. Magsealed is a waterproof wall that shuts out the intrusion of seawater and dust, by creating a wall of magnetic oil, in the gap between the body and rotor. Since the body and rotor are non-contact, the initial rotation performance is maintained for a long time while maintaining light and smooth rotation. Many of the causes of rotation noise are due to the intrusion of salt, dust, or and foreign matter. The rotation noise in reels that carry the Magsealed lubricant, is greatly reduced.

The Ballistic MQ LT reel, is long-casting and extremely smooth, employing an 8 Bearings System and with models ranging from 1000 to 4000, the Ballistic LT line of spinning reels are designed for a wide range of gamefish incorporating many different techniques.
