As the name implies, even with a slow retrieve, the ZBL X Trigger will swim in a X-Cross pattern and Trigger fish to bite.
When developing the X-Trigger lure, Zipbaits made no compromise when it comes to the casting distance, the action, sinking posture and its aesthetics. It actually took Zipbaits two years to complete the development of this sinking pencil.
In Japan, Sea Breams are mainly targeted at night. This was an important factor to consider when designing the X-Trigger, enabling the angler to feel the movement of the lure, when it can’t be seen in the darkness. After repeated body shape and weight distribution changes, it became possible to feel every movement of the lure against the currents.
ZipBaits equipped the X-Trigger pencil with the Mag Drive technology. A Brass casting weight for center of gravity, along with tungsten alloy balancing fixed weights front and rear were adopted. By achieving balance between the Mag-Drive system and tungsten alloy ballast it becomes possible to reach overwhelming casting distances.
The X-Trigger maintains a horizontal falling posture with a vibration, while it sinks with a relatively slow rate for it’s weight. The depth range for this lure is not too deep. It is possible to invite strikes even over the top off weed and algae beds.
