Designed and developed in Australia, by Berkley, the Gulp Crabby imitates a crab, or yabby to perfection.
The Crabby is not all about looks and that Gulp scent though, it gets better than that. The Crabby features a keeled belly that helps to keep it tracking straight, on retrieve allowing the swimmers, legs and claws to flutter enticingly.
Another great feature of the keeled belly is the horizontal freefall, or drop when used with a light-weight jig head. This makes it ideal for fishing structures where the angler wants a natural sink such as boat hulls, racks, pontoons and walls. Flick the crabby up against a boat hull, or rock wall and watch it free-fall horizontally into the depths with its appendages fluttering on the way down and hang on.
Gulp Saltwater Crabby is capable of luring all the fish that feed on crustaceans and these can be White Seabreams, Gilt Heads, Seabass etc. In the Mediterranean, the Berkley Gulp Crabby can be used in fishing styles, such as Light Spinning, Heavy Rock Fishing, Casting, even in Vertical Fishing from the boat. The ways it can be rigged are many and varied. From the simplest way which is using a jig head, or Cheburaska rig, to the more sophisticated for some anglers, like Carolina, or Texas Rig and Drop Shot.
The Gulp Saltwater Crabby packaging features an easy open and close system that does not allow the liquid inside to be spilled, keeping your baits juicy and vibrant. The composition of the preservation liquid is so advanced that it allows Berkley lures to have exactly the same properties, even 9 months after opening the package.
