What Palms aims at with the jointed Jabami is a controllable retrieve. If you raise the rods tip, it will leave an attractive trail on the waters surface. By lowering the rods tip and slightly increasing the retrieval speed, you can create an action that creates a commotion just below the water surface. The smooth action that the Palms Jabami reproduces is unique to a 4 sections Jointed lure, as it resembles a baitfish-like behavior. It is a highly appealing, floating type of Minnow that generates intensive flashes, to make its presence known. Its floating position comes very close to a horizontal posture, designed for use in areas with currents.
In freshwater fishing the Palms Jabami works well in capturing slow-flowing zones in midstream and brackish waters. With a slow retrieve on the surface, or just below the water surface, it generates a trail and vibrations that appeal to the target fish. Even though Palms has installed a smaller lip, the water grip is better and provides the lure with a more natural, swimming style. The V-shape of the joint is made at an angle to prevent the lure from bending to an extreme degree and a stable casting trajectory has been achieved, a common problem with jointed lures.
