The Shimano Vengeance Eging rod has been developed specifically for European squid fishing. Offering occasional squid anglers outstanding value for money, the Full Carbon blank of the Shimano Vengeance AX Eging has a fast progressive action, to maximize casting distance and lure action.
If you are looking for a specialised Egi rod, for occasional squid fishing around the coastal waters of Europe, the black and white Vengeance Eging is right at the top, when it comes to value for money. Whilst not as sophisticated, as expensive high-end models, it still has the correct attributes to fish Egi type lures, with good casting and fish-playing performance, combined with the sensitivity required to fish correctly for squid.
Remarkably, for a rod that is so affordable, the Vengeance Eging is made from a Full Carbon blank that is far superior in action, to similar priced composite made alternatives. This is immediately obvious when casting Egi lures, of size between 2.0 and 4.0, as the tip snaps back into position with immediate effect, as the lure flies true and straight. You can also feel the benefit of carbon in the sensitivity, as the rod tip registers every movement of the lure directly down the blank to the handle.
To ensure trouble free fishing, the aggressive black and white Vengeance Eging is fitted with corrosion resistant stainless steel guides that are suitable for both braid and monofilament lines. A custom designed VSS reel seat and split grey coloured ergonomic EVA handle complete Shimanos most affordable Egi rod.
