After a long development process, each blank of the Poseidon series is uniquely seasoned and the parts and coloring have been carefully selected to create a jigging rod series that is the epitome of perfection. First of all, the hardness and tension of the tip, that allows the angler to control the action of the jig, has been carefully studied. Also the length and lightness of the rod that allows the angler to make the most of his arms strength and the ability to lead the fight with the fish to the anglers advantage are few of the benefits of the Poseidon. Evergreen is pursuing the creation of a blank that would keep the tip alive, even when jerking the jig sharply, attracting the target with a rhythmic action, firmly setting the hook, and bringing it all in at once.

However, the Poseidon Jigging Rod Series is never completed, as further pursuit and development continues every day. These exceptional rods were designed by Norihiro Sato, the very creator of the Slow Jigging Technique. The Slow Jerker Podeidon rods are considered internationally, as the best Slow Jigging rods in the world.

Of an impressive finesse and lightness, they have an extremely nervous tip that works the jig alone, with the minimum fatigue, but providing the optimal action. The Poseidon rods nevertheless have an impressive power reserve. The hyper-progressive blank has a power curve up to the heel, that will allow to fish fighting predators on ultra thin lines. The PSLJ 603-3 is a rod designed specifically for Slow Pitch Jerks. It can also handle “High Pitch Short Jerks (Spiral Jerks)”, but it is effective to make the jig’s initial speed as fast as possible. However, in this case, the reels retrieve with one rotation is about 90 cm, and fish that are weak to up and down movements may not be able to react to the jig that moves from bottom to top and may not be able to keep up. This is especially common with fish that have grown in size and become weary. Therefore, a rod that can turn the jig from straight, to the side, with a slow tempo, with one jerk of 1/3 or 1/4 turn of the handle, and a retrieve of 20 to 30 cm, was needed.

However, if you retrieve the reel slowly with a conventional rod, the jig becomes a weight, its speed does change and the jig does not move. The ideal Slow Jerk was completed after a long period of trial and error. The Slow Jerker is a rod that can move the jig sideways with a slow tempo and short retrieve, can achieve a quick initial movement and total stillness and can change the speed of the jig. Moreover, it was an unexpected surprise and delight to see that it was so slender, lightweight, and highly sensitive, yet showed a breaking strength that overturned conventional wisdom.

The Slow Jerker PSLJ 603-3 controls the jig with a short movement distance and this is an approach to fish, that have never used before. The Poseidon Slow Jerker series will offer you a unique experience of true joy, of controlling a jig. The Slow Jerker 603-3 is aimed at shallow fields. This model is mainly for 70 110 gr jigs.

The PSLJ 603-4 Slow Jerker is the standard model for nearshore fishing. This model has the best response in fields with a depth of about 80m and is mainly used with 100g to 160g jigs.

Precautions for using the Slow Jerker series: This series is specialized in maneuvering the jig and getting the fish to bite, so when fighting, do not point the tip upwards, but keep it horizontal.

Guides System – The butt to belly section is equipped with an LRV guide; the tip section with a KT guide; and the top with an MN guide. This setting greatly reduces tangling of the line amongst the guides. The frame is made of high-strength, lightweight titanium and the rings are made of SiC-S (SiC-J for the top only).

The Slow Jerker series is intentionally made to have the same length, so that there is no difference in the feel of use even when changing rods. The PSLJ 603-3 has a decorative wrap around the Poseidon logo for easy visual recognition, and is decorated with green thread.

Completely Blank-Through Structure – The Slow Jerker series has been designed with literally no seams, from the top to the end of the rear grip. This allows the rod to bend with strength and flexibility to unexpected large fish, despite its overwhelmingly light and slender blanks.

Evergreen’s original Arbor is used as the spacer material to fill the gap between the blank and the reel seat. The ultra-lightweight, ultra-sensitive material significantly improves the ability to “sense” changes in the water column.

Reel Seat Design continues with the Fuji T-DPS22. With a strong reel seat, you can jerk the reel just by placing it on the palm of your hand without applying unnecessary force, so you can feel the signals transmitted from the blank without any loss.

Grip Design includes ultra-high sensitivity and a complete blank-through design that allows you to fight, using the full length of the rod. In addition, the use of a separate grip not only reduces weight, but also maximizes the performance of the blank by eliminating unnecessary reinforcement with EVA that interferes with the stress distribution of the blank. The grip end, uses EVA parts that do not cling to clothing and fit when held under the arm, or against the body.
