The new Howk Blue Care rod has been designed for Shore Casting enthusiasts, targeting big catches from the shore. The Blue Care is a 3 meters, powerful rod, with a Casting Weight of 80 – 120 gr.
This technical rod will be mainly seen in the hands of rock climbing fishermen, approaching their prey from uncharted territories. Lets take a closer look at some of the technical elements of this fantastic Howk rod.
It is equipped with Fuji Slim SIC rings, in Deep Pressed, three legged frames. The first two guides from the bottom, have the opposite orientation from the remaining guides and this is done in order to achieve farther casts and less tangles. The Fuji SIC rings are equipped with a very hard, silicon carbide ceramic. This creates less friction to the braid as it goes through the guides, so the angler benefits from easier casting and less wearing out of the braid due to friction and heat, as with other types of rings. Most Fuji guides have frames made of stainless steel, or titanium. They are high-end rings, and therefore of high quality.
