The 2025 Caldia retains the qualities that have made it famous over the years and takes them to the next level: exceptional lightness, outstanding building quality, and a sleek and elegant design. The body is still a Zaion V Monocoque, but the new technological innovations have been brought by the Airdrive Design concept. Equipped with Daiwas latest technology, Airdrive Design which previously could only be found in the Exist – the evolution of LT and Real Four, the Daiwa Caldia 25 LT provides the ultimate control. The Caldia 25 LT includes Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail and Airdrive Spool. Daiwa engineers have developed these major technologies, allowing for smooth and light rotation, reducing the weight of the rotor, spool and bail. With the separation of the reel into two units: the solid and robust Rear (Body) Unit (MQ and Tough Digigear technologies) and the Front Unit, reworked in order to lighten it and promote rotation, by reducing inertia and resistance.
The drag has also changed: the ATD-L is super-smooth when it comes to absorbing the fishs first stress and then hardens to stop the last attempts for an escape. The 5000 versions, newly introduced sizes for this series, feature a more power-oriented drag: an ATD Tough with Carbon discs, designed to better handle large and powerful catches.
Daiwa engineers have developed these major technologies, allowing for smooth and light rotation, reducing the weight of the rotor, spool and bail.
