The Daiwa Tournament Shiner 170 SL-F is a Floating lure, equipped with a double, internal weight transfer system. Daiwa has installed in the Tournament Shiner SL-F the Tungsten Silent S-GOS Double Oscillating System, which includes two sliding pistons, one made of Tungsten and the other of Brass, on a fixed axis. The Daiwa lure will make impressively long casts, defying the intensity of the wind, from whatever direction it is blowing.

The Silent Gravity Oscilation System, is a Daiwa exclusive weight transfer system, which not only helps maximize flight distance during the cast, but also shifts the center of gravity of the lure during retrieve, to gain the most erratic action possible. S-GOS is equipped with rubber washers on each side of the weight, to remove the harsh sound of tungsten and steel colliding.

The Tungsten Ballast Moving technology, on a fixed axis, significantly increases the casting distance, reducing the friction between the ballast and the lure, compared to the moving spheres system. The Tungsten Ballast moves to the right position, inside the body of the lure, depending on the situation the lure is in. When the angler is about to cast the lure, the ballast is at the back, while from the moment the lure is launched from our rod, the ballast will move forward, giving the lure the ideal angle and ensuring its fully realistic movement and action from the very first stroke of the rod.

Another factor that contributes to achieving long distances, in addition to the modern moving ballast system, is the Tournament Shiner’s body design.

Daiwa developed the Tournament Shiner SL-F lure to target numerous large and fighting predators. In the Mediterranean it can easily go after Sea Bass, Barracuda during the Autumn period, the fat Winter Bonitos and any other predator might come its way. The Tournament Shiner SL-F features a unique combination of motion, with gentle Wobbling and Rolling action. Its floating ability enables the angler to search extensively the upper levels of the water column and provoke predators lurking in the lower end, to instinctively switch to a hunting mode.

At the same time, the design of the lip gives instant motion to the lure, with the slightest command from the rods tip.
