The Nissin Ares Black Jaguar Kamui Slow Jigging rod has been developed with the use of high-elasticity, Carbon Fibers “Torayca T1100G” “Nanoalloy”, with the support of ultra-thin, high-density, 4-Axis Carbon, and thick, multi-layer tape, molded with the newly developed Granroll Various X – GVX Construction” method.
This is the long-awaited, Slow Jigging model of the Black Jaguar series, designed under the supervision of field tester and advisor Kazuhiro Hirano.
The Nissin Ares Black Jaguar Kamui Slow Jigging rod has been developed with the use of high-elasticity, Carbon Fibers “Torayca T1100G” + “Nanoalloy”, with the support of ultra-thin, high-density, 4-Axis Carbon, and thick, multi-layer tape, molded with the newly developed Granroll Various X – GVX Construction” method. The combination of these materials and production processes achieved amazing toughness and smooth repulsion that is unimaginable for a Slow Jigging rod with an ultra-slim blank.
In the Slow Jigging style, which uses the repulsive force of the rod to move the jig and induce a bite, both the bending curve and the “return” to its original state are very important functions for the effectiveness of the rod. Japanese company Nissin has achieved the ideal action in both functions. Fish that were previously thought to be difficult to react to jigs, have now become jigging targets and with the evolution of tackle, it has become possible to target even deeper zones of the water column.
Nissin has thoroughly tested the Ares Black Jaguar Kamui in wide range of targets, from shallow areas, to mid-deep levels.
The KB603/3 rod is recommended for depths between 50 and 120m. This is the basic size for Slow Jigging, designed to target a wide range of fish, at all levels of the water column.
The KB603/4 model is recommended for depths between 100 and 180m. This rod is for mid-deep waters and areas with fast currents. Although it is slender, it has the power to stop the pulling power of large fish.
High-Density 4-Axis Carbon Material
Made of high-elasticity, high-density, 4-axis carbon, the blank not only gives more tension, but effectively suppresses the force in the twisting direction, which greatly affects the speed of recovery, improving the straightness and transmission of resistance from the blank. By minimizing the torsional loss that occurs during bending, the blank’s potential is maximized, contributing to all aspects such as swing, sensitivity, casting distance, casting accuracy, rod vibration, and handling.
Torayca T1100G
The performance of a fishing rod is greatly influenced by its core material. Nissin utilizes Toray’s Carbon fiber Torayca, the world’s largest carbon fiber manufacturer, with the world’s highest standards in terms of quality. Capitalizing on its excellent properties of being lightweight, strong and rigid, it is used in a variety of applications. The high-strength, high-modulus Carbon fiber Torayca “T1100G” and the high-performance Carbon Fiber Resin Impregnated Sheet, made from the same carbon fiber, have achieved both high strength and high modulus of elasticity, which were previously considered technically difficult to achieve. Carbon fibers have high specific strength, specific elasticity and excellent tolerance properties, making them highly reliable and therefore their applications in the aerospace, industrial and sports fields are rapidly expanding.
Carbon fiber Torayca “T1100G” has been significantly improved in performance through technologies that precisely control the fiber structure at the nano level. In addition, Nanoalloy technology has been used to improve elasticity of the resin used in the prepreg, significantly increasing the cylindrical bending strength. By combining Torayca T1100G with resins that use Nanoalloy technology, Nissin has been able to achieve the ultimate performance required in high-end fishing.
Nanoalloy Technology
The prepreg applied with “Nanoalloy” technology, achieves both rigidity (strength) and flexibility. “Nanoalloy” is a special technology unique to Toray Industries, Inc., related to the manufacturing of materials and products, which mix multiple polymers. Rods using this “Nanoalloy” have a sharp casting feeling, supple tenacity and a resilience-filled elasticity area.
MSVF Technology
Resin acts as an adhesive material for carbon materials. By reducing the amount of resin, it is possible to achieve sharper and lighter weight than regular carbon materials. MSVF achieves this by increasing the amount of carbon fiber, making it possible to create a rod that is more powerful and sharper.
Granroll Various X – GVX Construction
The GVX construction method tightly winds Carbon tape inside the middle layer, in a 45 direction and wraps the same (middle) material with 5-Axis carbon on the outside, achieving incredible high strength, tenacity, smooth rebound and reduced twisting when bent.
