The Ultrablock can be used for different fishing situations where the need for the rod to be locked up tight or easy to pick up.
On the rear of the Ultrablock are two nuts which can be used to adjust the width or tightness of the Ultrablock heads.
When using a thicker diameter rod butt or need a looser fit for your rod, the heads can be adjusted with a larger gap as shown. When using a narrow rod butt or need a tighter fit for locked up situations adjust the heads with a close fit.
