The Abu Garcia Spike S spinning reels is a range of reliable, high quality, modern reels, originally designed for fresh water Perch and Zander fishing. However, they possess all the necessary elements to be used in saltwater fishing, with a little bit of extra care.
The Spike S are strong and rigid, very smooth in rotation and equipped with a smooth and waterproof Carbon drag system.
All reels in the range are equipped with shallow spools, which is ideal for spooling thin braided lines. Spooling the braided line directly onto the reel, without layers of monofilament means less overall weight for the Spike.
It is available in sizes 2500 and 4000, which are ideal for saltwater Heavy Rock Fishing and Light Spinning, all the way to Zander fishing on big rivers and canals.
