The Single Strong Assist Hooks, Vanfook Jigen Deco JD-50 have been developed to meet the needs of Light Jigging and Jigging and also those of Shore and Light Shore Jigging.

They are tied with the extra strong, Vanfook Jigging Assist Line, with fluorocarbon core, a feature that gives these hooks a natural, floating motion, contributing in direct strikes with the slightest contact.

The hooks that have been used for this rig are light, so as not to affect the motion of the jigs.

The Vanfook Jigen Deco JD-50 Assist hooks have a very penetrating tip, a necessary feature for these fishing techniques. Everything about these assist hooks has been carefully designed; the anatomy of the hook, the knot, the angle of the bent, the distance of the barb from the body of the hook, all of these elements ensure safe strikes, even in the hardest parts of the fishs jaws. The lighter the weight of the hooks, the faster they move at each jerk. And this increases the chances of a strike, since lightweight hooks return faster to the strike position, after each jerk.

In general, all fish have a huge suction capacity, in order to lead the prey into their sharp jaws. The lighter hooks are easily and quickly sucked into the predators mouth, often leaving out the heavy body of the jig. The length of the Assist Line will also play an important role, which should not be too long, but placed in the right place.

Another special advantage of lightweight Assist Hooks, is the minimal wearing out of the jig. Many jig lures have a delicate finish, which wears out easily. A heavy Assist hook repeatedly strikes our shot on its sides, always at the same length, as we strike with our rod. The result is a gradual weakening of the finish. However, the lighter the Assist Hook is, the softer the intensity of the blow, causing significantly less, or no damage at all.

Finally, a particularly important element of the Vanfook Jigen Deco JD-50 Assist hook is the fluorescent aurora tinsels and the natural fish skin in the form of reflective foil, features which prove the emphasis on detail placed by Vanfook on its hooks. They are coated with a special paint, that emits fluorescent light from above. It emits light in response to ultraviolet rays and attracts various targets.
