The secret of the Bassday Crystal Pencil in 95 and 120 mm lays in its ability to reproduce the effect of a school of small fish. The color line-up of the Crystal Pencil lure series comprises mainly of clear and transparent bodies. A school of fish is generated in the eyes of predators, through the diffused reflection from their crystal body and hologram.
Using its long, casting ability, strength and clear body to its advantage, the Bassday Crystal Pencil can be used as a search bait, to find migratory fish. Despite its sinking nature, it is actually a Top Water lure, that remains on the surface as you reel it in. This is due to the rear weight of the body. As it skips through the waves, its body causes a commotion resembling a fleeing from danger, baitfish.
Bassday inserted a 1.4mm thick wire, penetrating its body, enabling it to withstand vicious attacks.
Compared to the Crystal Pencil 120S, which acts relatively automatically, the 95mm is more aggressive in inviting attacks. The downsizing enables a variety of actions, while maintaining the outstanding casting performance born from the 30g center of gravity in the tail. In addition, the weight reduction of the lure, allows the angler to switch from heavy gear to medium gear.
