Amongst the first advantages of the new development concept that you will notice, as soon as you hold this gun in your hands, is the incomparable ease of handling and the sturdiness you feel, even when compared to larger diameter spearguns. The Cressi Cherokee speargun has a specially shaped 28mm anticorodal black barrel, which originated in the Cressi Moicano model. The Cherokke Fast has been built with a sturdy, round aluminum alloy barrel, with the bottom layer of the tube being reinforced, thus making it thicker. The mass of the tube has been designed as such, to absorb recoil from the shots and at the same time allowing the spearfisherman to move the speargun easily and with accuracy.

At the same time, the Italian company Cressi has maintained in the new Cherokee Fast speargun, some of the traditional manufacturing concepts such as the robustness, durability and ergonomics that characterize their products, but at the same time has improved certain technical aspects, such as the muzzle, the sternal support, etc. From the handle of the Cressi Geronimo, a new handle was created, with significant improvements in its anatomy, with a better grip and less resistance to rapid changes of direction, while the reversed trigger mechanism, has been rebuilt to be in perfect alignment with the barrel and to completely eliminate inertia when shooting. The new anatomic handle, is made of reinforced plastic with fiberglass and features an Inox cartridge, with an inverted release mechanism, which offers approximately an extra 7 cm of arming length. To make it work better, Cressi fitted the inverted metal trigger mechanism with stainless steel parts and Teflon materials to minimize friction and reduce the overall weight.

The Cherokee Fast’s release mechanism, which is entirely made by Cressi of Italy, is a composite material release mechanism with trigger, release tooth and a lateral guide line release obtained from the base and two different sternal support.

In addition, the Cherokee Fast features a full-length integrated shaft guide for ease of shooting, while the new and innovative Cobra design, open-muzzle, features softer angles, for reducing friction with the bands. The muzzle also features the spear-lock system: two magnets keep the shaft in position and allow for speedy reset. The magnets are placed in a watertight chamber and do not inhibit the release of the shaft. A shock absorber silences the release of the shaft.

Finally, the reel is included, featuring a quick-release mounting bracket. It is made of light synthetic material, resistant to wearing out, with a steel base and a level wind, which releases and distributes the line evenly.

Supplied assembled, ready for use, with two elastic bands with nylon cord (14 mm), a stainless steel shaft (6.5 mm) and two sternal supports (one long and one short).
