The modular design lets the user replace / interchange blades for specific diving purposes, allowing the fin to develop along with the level of experience and the skills of the diver. Any Cressi Fiberglass, or Carbon fiber long blade, can be replaced in minutes without any modifications to either.
The self-adjusting foot pocket is constructed by Cressi with the most modern, multi compound joining process, to deliver a footpocket that can offer comfort and suppleness around the foot and stiffer compounds under the foot pocket and heel area, where power transfer takes place. The foot-pocket combines two materials, to improve the comfort-energy transmission ratio.
The foot pocket volume has been decided after extensive anatomical studies, in such a way that the volume is proportional to the widening effect caused by the boot and the size of the foot. It does not follow a fixed proportion from size to size. The Gara Modulars foot pocket is wider than the other Gara fin models.
Anti-slip water rails, prevent water flow from escaping sideways and channeling the energy to the right direction.
The bending angle of the blade at 29 provides the ultimate efficiency during the kick cycle, requiring less energy to load the blade, allowing you at the same time to further increase the dynamic performance of the fin. The blade has an incredible resistance to any type of shock, impact or stress, making it almost impossible to break accidentally.
The Gara Modular Impulse fin can be comfortably worn with, or without neoprene socks. Cressi suggests to use it with neoprene socks in order to have a proper fit. If you are planning to wear the Gara Impulse without neoprene socks, Cressi recommends to buy one smaller size.
The Cressi Gara Modular Impulse fins, include an insole, recommended for use with thin boots, because it improves the kick performance. The insoles are supplied as a pair (right and left foot) and can be cut into their shape in three different sizes, according to pre-printed guidelines.
