The Ika Metal fishing style has many things in common with Slow Jigging and requires similar equipment. Atailor made IKA Metal rod is sensitive, soft at the tip, transmits any information from the squid jig to the palm of your hand.
The Current SQ Ika Metal squid jigsare shaped to resemble small fish, or prawns but instead of having a treble hook, or J-hook attached, they are instead fitted with two circular rows of small hooks, which are known as crown hooks. Their shape is not straight, but in the form of a wave, producing a natural motion.
The bright colors of the squid jigs attracts cephalopods. Each side of a Current SQ Ika Metal jig, has a different color and pattern from the other. As the squid jig alternates sides, an impressive effect is being produced in the eyes of nearby predators.
