Thanks to the combination and the synergies created by the high-end Daiwa technologies, the Legalis 2023 LT reels, are incredibly light and just as robust. The Zaion V is made of high-density woven carbon, which anti-corrosion and durable. This exclusive material is being used in the design of the frames and rotors of Daiwa reels. It is a material between the Zaion and the DS5, used to lighten reels, while preserving resistance. In terms of rigidity, the Zaion V is a little harder and more durable than the DS5.
But Daiwa did not stop there with the 2023 Legalis LT, as it included the Airdrive Technology, that can be found only in the Exist. The Legalis LT include Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail, Airdrive Spool and Airdrive Shaft. Daiwa engineers have developed these four major technologies, allowing for smooth and light rotation, reducing the weight of the rotor, spool and bail.
The Daiwa Legalis LT reels accommodate a Tough Digigear gear system, made from duralumin, with the high-precision cut gears, enhancing the contact between the parts and improve the fluidity of the rotation. The Tough Digigear represents a further evolution of its predecessor Digigear, as it is a digitally designed, machine cut gearing system, that ensures ultimate gear precision, rotational smoothness, and strength. The rigid material is cold-forged and machine-cut to high precision to achieve the ideal tooth shape. In addition, special surface treatment is applied to minimise damage to the gears caused by high loads.
These Daiwa Legalis reels also benefit from the ATD-L Drag System, which provides a more stable and progressive drag force during battle thanks to discs impregnated with a new special grease.
The smooth rotation of the 2023 Legalis LT is supported by 6 Ball Bearings, one of which is Anti-Reverse.
In the reel’s box you will find either a Dry Bag, or a Rod Holder, until their stock is depleted.
