With the new Saltiga 12 braid EX+Si, Daiwa offers an outstanding, new premium, braided line. Daiwa has added EVO Silicone process to Saltiga 12Braid to make the line surface more slipperly for longer casting distance and to improve abrasion resistance.
The use of 12 strands here offers up to now unknown possibilities to improve the features of a braided line. Compared to standard braided lines, the abrasion resistance is improved up to 72%, while the knot strength is 20% higher. The special surface coating made of silicone cares for decreased friction of up to 18% thus, the casting distances, especially with lightweight lures, as well as noise generation at casting, are considerably improved.
Once you let the new Saltiga braid run through your fingers, you will feel its smoothness and the softer texture, compared to the previous version. It will run smoothly from your reel, through the guides and allow your lure to reach even further. In fact it has an 18% more slipperly surface and 30% less line stretch compared to 8 braid premium PE lines.
