Two new, carbon technologies developed by Daiwa engineers has enabled the Japanese company to rework the Tournament AGS rods, which are dedicated to Sea bass fishing. The X-45 Full Shield (reinforcement of the entire blank) and the V-Joint Alpha (adjusted control of the junction point between the upper section and the butt of the rod) have made it possible, to reduce the diameter of the blanks, while maintaining excellent precision and sturdiness. The SVF and Nanoplus technologies combined with the x45 carbon layering, create a hypersensitive blank, which also possesses an incredible casting capability.

The X45X Full Shield technology is 25% more efficient than standard x45 technology. The X45X reinforced blanks resist twisting during casting and fishing. This feature prevents the blank from losing stored energy during casting, ensuring that the power you put into your cast is transferred through the blank and ultimately to your lure.

These new Daiwa Tournament AGS spinning rods are therefore perfectly balanced and have excellent reactivity both during casting and during battle.

An additional highlight is the use of Daiwas exclusive AGS carbon fiber guides, which are significantly lighter, compared to conventional guides and additionally optimized the rods action and sensitivity. Under the first guide is a reinforcing layer of carbon which guarantees the base of the guide won’t compromise the blank under extreme pressure. The crowning feature is the fitting of AGS rings, which bring sensitivity to new levels. Thus the rods react extremely quickly and feature almost no torque very long and precise casts are the consequence.

Every detail of the finishing has been carefully executed so as not to overload the rod and make each model a powerful tool that will cope in any situation, but also pleasant to use.

The HMH action rods are an excellent compromise for anglers wishing to alternate fishing between Crankbaits and Soft, silicone lures fishing. The stronger H actions allow you to fish with a Soft lure from the shore, for the longer models.
