Stiff and fast actioned U1 rods are primarily suitable for fishing with Softbaits and Jigheads, but also show excellent results with other, hard body lures.
Favorite has equipped the U1 with ergonomic handles, suitable for any grip and a short foregrip, that allows the angler to rest his finger on the blank and receive all sorts of useful information. The blanks are made of high quality Skyflex 24T carbon fiber. The rods guides have extra hard ceramic inserts made of titanium dioxide, that work perfectly with thin PE braids. U1 rods represent a balance of quality and affordability.
The MLS technology applied by Favorite, stands for Multi Layer Structure. All Favorite rod blanks are produced from a layering combination, by which carbon fibers of different modulus and different directions, improve the rods action, durability and reduce the overall weight. Fibers in lengthwise direction provide strength. Multiple carbon layer combinations, of diverse directions, provide stiffness and torsion resistance.
