The Lurenzo lure series by Fishus is the result of the collaboration between Fishus and the master craftsman Isaac Lorenzo.

It all started in 2009 when Isaac Lorenzo began to crave a piece of wood to create a new concept in topwater lures, different from any other in the market to fulfil his own basic needs as a fisherman. The first effort was a Garfish imitation to catch Bluefish.

Every fisherman knows that Garfish is a main dish in the food chain of sea predators and if we want to achieve a great catch, Garfish is the recipe to go about it. The Don Belone has been based on images of common baitfish. It is specifically meant to mimic the movements and whims of Garfish, a highly sought after baitfish in all the seas around the world.

Don Belone is a lure that allows you to fish from any location, as it has the ability to cast much farther than any lure with a similar thin profile. It also allows you to explore more and better than any other lure, the different water layers that we can reach in this fishing style. Although the Lurenzo Don Belone is a surface lure, designed to create commotion on the surface, it is also a sinking lure, hence we can retrieve it either in a horizontal trajectory, but also in vertical motions. Jerkbait lures will hook fish in places and under conditions, that no other lure will. The Don Belone baits allow us to practice more sophisticated fishing styles, than with other baits and the reason is very simple. Jerkbaits are being designed to appear are real as it gets. By jerking and twitching these lures we create the image of a frightened, wounded, panicked and absolutely available to predators, baitfish that beacons from afar to all hungry hunters.

Without requiring experienced retrieval techniques by the angler, the Fishus Don Belone is an extremely effective lure, fishing slow and sinuous, as well as fast and violent. The catch history of this lure is impressive, specially designed to make a difference with Bluefish and Leer fish, but in the Mediterranean its accomplishments are well known in species such as Spearfish, Swordfish, Amberjack, Dentex, Longfin Tuna in Trolling, Seabass, Mahi Mahi, etc.

Feel free to experiment and modify the Don Belone with different types of treble hooks depending on the type of fishing you practice and even make it more attractive by adding a spinner, or a feather.

The 14 cm size is rigged with two treble hooks. The 23 cm model, does not include treble hooks.
