0.62 mm Pregio Assist Line and and Cultiva SJ-41 hooks have been used to make the rigging sturdy and more jaw penetrative, especially on big catches.
The rigging is light weight and the hooks have been tied at different lengths to each other, so that they can be baited with either large shrimp, or fresh squid.
Don’t be afraid to use small Assist Hooks on Slide Tenya jigs. If the hook is small in size, it does not affect with its weight, the movement of the bait and allow the catch to suck them in immediately, regardless of its size. The small hooks have become very popular amongst Japanese anglers and due to their excellent piercing properties, they grab the fish from various parts of its anatomy, such as cheeks, lips, etc.
