When it comes to the universally Italian lure Stylo, by company Jack Fin, the attention to every detail, the use of high quality finishing materials, the unique movement and the very strict quality control procedures applied to each lure, are few of the stages it goes through before it reaches your hands. The Stylo are 100% handmade, very durable and not only look like a Needle fish, but also imitate one in motion. They are today the ideal choice of bait, when we target artificial, when we target Blue Fish and the Stylo have created their own legend, around this particular fishing style. The Stylo is an extremely versatile pencil-bait, that mimics one of the most common prey: the Needle fish.
The Stylo 240 is the largest lure in the Stylos family. Its a perfect imitation of a Needlefish. Its basic difference to its smaller cousins, is that due to its increased length and weight it can retail its posture and swim properly even in rough sea conditions. Its action and movement during retrieve can be characterized as erratic, bringing the Jack Fin Stylo closer to a real Needle fish. Try a fast retrieve when fish seems to be active and restless, or try a slow retrieve when fish seems indifferent, or sluggish.
But there are other secrets in the way you fish the Stylo 240. One retrieval style it masters is the Walk the Dog technique, in which the lure performs zig-zag maneuvers and in such case is ideal for Pike and Seabass. The second way to retrieve it, is by skipping, where we hold the rod high and with quick recovery the Stylo resembles a Needlefish cut from the main herd, in panic, trying to escape and thus becomes an easy target for fast predators. To achieve such a retrieve you need at least a high quality 3000 size reel, with fast gear ratio (5.5:1 or more) and quick action rod.
Jack Fin rigged the Stylo 240 with strong BKK trebles able to resist big predators jaws. It is also equipped with 1.6mm stainless steel through wire, making it tolerant to violent attacks and the color is protected by several layers of extra-strong glossy finish.
The Jack Fin Stylo has an extremely aerodynamic shape. Its body weight rests at 45 gr, hence it can achieve very long casts. Its body length is 24 cm.
