The KZ x Coeball Stickbait 150S is a heavy and compact Pencil of 50 grams, but only 15 cm long.

What can be the final outcome of the collaboration between two talented Lure Builders whose handmade lures have become so well-known, due to their success, in many Mediterranean countries and elsewhere. But of course crown jewel artificial baits, the looks of which alone can make even experienced spinners desperate in getting their hands upon.

The introduction above are for Kostas Kezoudis (KZ Lures), who lives and works in Cyprus, the one who conceptualized and created the very successful WTD lure KZ BR200, an artificial bait that has incredible success with Sea Bass, Bluefish, Tuna, Barracuda, Amberjack, even exotic species for the Mediterranean such as GTs (Giant Trevally). On the other hand Coeball, is a promising lure builder from Bali, who creates handmade, wooden lures for the predatory species that live in the waters where he fishes (Giant Trevally, Machi Machi, Albacore and large Barracuda).

The idea for the collaboration of the two designers, is an on-going project, that initiated two years before the release of the lures. During the process there have been dozens of changes, modifications and exhaustive tests both in Cyprus and in Bali to achieve the result that meets the high standards of both sides.

The KZ x Coeball lures, are made entirely in hand and with the use of 100% natural Paulownia wood. Paulownia is a tropical tree that grows mainly in East Asia and in countries such as Japan, China and Korea. It has also been planted in many European countries for commercial purposes, since it is a tree that grows very quickly. It is very easy to process and could be compared, in physical characteristics, with Poplar. It also has low maintenance requirements as a plant and increased resistance to insect attack.

One of the lures that came out of this collaboration, is the KZ x Coeball Stickbait 150S. This Stickbait 150S is a heavy and compact Pencil of 50 grams, but only 15 cm long. It is a first-class choice for Shore Jigging styles, in the middle layers of the water column, for Pelagic predators, such as Amberjacks and various Pelagic species, while in the lower layers of the water column (Deep fishing) it can lure predators, such as Dentex. When we give to this lure the ability to stay close to the surface, it is very likely that it will have encounters with medium, as well as large sized Tuna species.

Handling the KZ x Coeball Stickbait 150S is no different than how you would handle any Sinking Pencil. It will also be effective in fishing styles from the boat such as Offshore Casting, with rods that meet the technical requirements of such as lure. As is the case with all other lures in the KZ x Coeball series, the Stickbait 150S has a 1.6mm thick, 316 stainless steel wire from one end to the other (Through Wire). At a first glance, one can easily notice that the front eyelet is placed parallel to the lateral line of the lure, a characteristic that helps the lure slide, giving it greater freedom and stability in lateral action. In essence, it helps the lure maintain the harmony of its movement during long and strong jerks.

Multiple layers of strong epoxy varnishes, enhance its resistance to predator bites, making it virtually indestructible. Its slim silhouette and short length, will not leave even the most cunning Seabass uninterested. The Stickbait 150S is addressing the needs of experienced spinners, who know their equipment very well and will be able to manage its sinking behavior in shallows, without tangles. Any angler familiar with Pencil lures, will find fishing with the Stickbait 150S a relatively easy task.

The Stickbait 150S does not come rigged with Treble hooks, or Single Assist hooks, offering the angler the option to choose the proper equipment. One suggestion would be the BKK Viper 41 #1/0 or the BKK Fangs BT663-UA #1. In the case of Single hooks the VMC Saltwater Inline 7266 4/0 or 5/0 or BKK Lone Diablo Assist Hooks 3/0 is a wise option, depending on the predators you are after. For split rings you can use the Centro Heavy Duty Bent Split Rings No 4S.
