Major Craft’s ultra-high density, full tungsten body squid jigs, are the Dangan Tungsten Sutte.
The properties of Tungsten as a metal, allow the Dangan Tungsten Sutte squid jigs to behave differently, than lead squids. They have a very high density (19,300 kg/m), which is comparable to that of Uranium and Gold and much higher (by about 1.7 times) than the density of Lead. The compact body is extremely effective on wary squid. The use of Tungsten has allowed Major Craft to reduce the volume and size of the Dangan Sutte, while keeping its weight constant. This means that you can sink the Dangan Tungsten Sutte more easily, as it has the required weight, but its smaller volume offers less resistance in the water and is more difficult to drift in the current, compared to lead squid jigs, of similar weight.

The Major Craft Dangan Tungsten Sutte squid jigs can also be used with the IKA Metal fishing technique, or with vertical Slow Jigging motions. Ika Metal is a Japanese technique targeting Squid, Cuttlefish and Short Fin Squids. The Ika Metal style has many elements in common with Slow Jigging and requires similar fishing equipment. In the market there are various rods for the Ika Metal technique, which offer great sensitivity and elasticity, so that they can transmit every stimulus from the squid jig, to your palm.
The needles of the Dangan Tungsten Sutte are chemically treated with fluorine, to increase their penetrating properties, securing the hook and holding squid no matter how lightly are caught. The excellent Japanese-made hook ensures reliable hooking.
The Major Craft DTG are available in three sizes. They can be ideally used directly on IKA Metal rods, such as the Major Craft Egizaust 5G Ika Meta and the Savage Gear SGS2 IKA & Jig.
