The Genkotsu Kabura Tenya, consists of a round, in the shape of a sphere jig, that enables quick sinking due to its hydrodynamic shape. It also includes two Assist Hooks. One is solid and placed on the jig and the other is smaller in size, lightweight, loose, tied to an assist line. They both have a highly penetrating tip. The reason why the Assist Hook is smaller in size, is simple. It does not affect the weight of the bait and allows the bait to be directly sucked in, regardless of its size. The small hooks have become very popular in Japan and because of their incredible, penetrating capacity, they might catch the fish from everywhere, such as cheeks, lips, etc.
Major Craft ensured the smooth and natural descent of the Genkotsu jig by developing it with a hydrodynamic shape, that does not meet intensive water resistance. The falling motion of the Major Craft Kabura jigs provides no discomfort to the prey. The bait appears natural and lures even weary fish. Due to their round shape, they expose their volume from any angle and allow them to sink quickly to the bottom.
The Major Craft Genkotsu Kabura Jig is a versatile jig, that has many advantages and can be used in numerous fishing styles, depending on the depth and changes in the current. You can do normal vertical fishing, as well as lateral fishing. Their lighter versions make it an ideal jig for usage in shallow areas. Feel free to decorate them withcolorfultinsels and stripesof fresh bait, such as squid tentacles. Rigging a fresh shrimp onto the main hook, is almost a must in any version of the Hitotsu Tenya style. It is one of the most popular baits for Hitotsu Tenya, as it attracts Dentex, Red Snappers and Groupers. But feel free to experiment with small baitfish, biodegradables, or a strip of squid.
