The 5G Redback series, represent an effort by Major Craft to follow the Tai Rubber fishing style, as it evolves year by year. The Nanotechnology Toray T1100G carbon material, which is essential in the aerospace industry, is fully adopted as the main material of the blank. The combination with a high-sensitivity, solid tip conveys delicate information, that makes it easy to feel any changes in the water.
The super supple blanks of the Major Craft 5G Redback rods, do not give the fish a sense of incongruity, so their seems natural. With the Redback 5G made with the latest raw materials and manufacturing methods, the angler is enabled to take a good glimpse of the underwater conditions and especially if you are an experienced fisherman of Tai Rubber, it will feel like never before.
Major Craft adopted a spiral guide setting in the 5G Redback rods, to scrapes off the water from the braids surface, without affecting the bending curve of the blank.
R360 Structure – New Manufacturing Method
By arranging the carbon fibers in all directions (Straight, Diagonal Right, Diagonal Left and Horizontal), the end result is an ultra-lightweight blank, that has both power and torque. Unlike the conventional carbon tape reinforcement on the blanks surface, the blank of the Tairaba Redback rods is composed of carbon sheets in the multi-axial direction. As a result, Major Craft has achieved the ultimate blank structure, that responds to 360-degree forces.
