Palms equipped the GIG with a treble hook, that is significantly larger than those of similar lures. Palms also incorporated in the GIG lures, the Mag Mounting System to prevent the belly hook, from getting caught on the back of the lure. By attracting the hook with magnetic force, it keeps the hook in the belly and reduces trouble. As the treble hooks have become larger in order to confront large targets, a system has been developed to prevent the belly hook from getting caught on the back of the lure during casting. A neodymium magnet has been built into the back of the bellys hook eye, to attract the hook with magnetic force. This will reduce trouble and keep the treble hook in its place.
