The Palms Lipless Degree is a member of the greater family of the Bit Arts Light Rock Fishing lures. It is produced by leading Japanese company Palms and it is actually the evolved, lipless version of the Degree lure, of the same family.
Its size is 50mm and it weighs 5.3 gr. This pencil has a natural, discreet presentation at steady retrieves and horizontal descent during the pauses. Even the lightest retrieve, even a very slow one against in the current, enlivens this lure in an amazing manner. It is a long casting pencil, for distant casts. Its great advantage is the accuracy by which it can reach certain spots and target zones. These spots are mainly in the lower parts of the water column. We use the Lipless Degree lure when we want to approach fish that are fed farther and lower from the coastline. From this point of view, the Palms Lipless Degree specializes in deeper waters. We can also use it, when fish seem suspicious towards lures with lips, or towards dynamic lures such as jigs.
The treble hook placed in its belly, is adjusted on a swivel to avoid hook outs during battle. Palms calls this Anti Hook Out System.
Palms recommends to alternate using the Lipless Degree, with the Degree but also with another member of the Bit Arts family, the Miniature GIG, especially when the fish is hesitant and we want to cause the maximum of strikes in an area.
The Palms Lipless Degree is a very technical Pencil, for Light Rock Fishing enthusiasts which will help them target Saddled Seabreams in the midwater, or in deep harbors and hard to get White Seabreams far away from the shore. It will also help us provoke the reaction of Seabass, a fish that is constantly high on alert and observes everything carefully before it decides to attack and needs the maximum discretion before it makes its move.
