What is the Flash Boost technology that Shimano applies to a number of lures and we can now find in the Sephia Flash Boost Egi range? The Flash Boost technology features an internal panel, which shimmers continuously. This Shimano patented system, uses a reflective mirror, suspended by micro springs, which harnesses light and UV rays, to attract squid throughout the water column. Even the mildest touch on a Shimano Flash Boost lure will trigger the reflective mirror. As a result the bodys kinetic energy, produces the continuous flashing effect, which is highly effective to these visual hunters. When the retrieve of the jig is paused, it is then that squids are most likely to strike. Flash boost technology allows the Shimano lures to be visible from a long distance, regardless if the water is murky, or conditions are low light.
The Shimano Sephia squid jigs come in a range of impressive Keimura colors and the outer skin resembles natural scale to the touch, inviting squids to get a hold on the jig and not to let it go. The sinker resembles the shape of a boats keel and enables the Sephia Clinch maintain its balance during the retrieve, or during casting.
