Although the Grappler BB is an entry level reel, that is easy for beginners to handle, in practice it is a Light Jigging and Tai Rubber reel, with an oversized knob, a long power handle (60mm) that allows the angler to exert strength, when fighting big prey. The Grappler BB is packed with progressive Shimano Technologies that make this Baitcasting reel a workhorse in vertical fishing styles, at an attractive price.
A new rigid and tough Hagane Body, coupled with the X Protect technology will expand the reels longevity and resistance against seawater protection. Furthermore, the level wind linked to the release of the braid during fall and retrieve, is working smoothly.
The Shimano Grappler BB will allow the angler to take advantage of the finest braided line, which is the biggest strength in Light Jigging and at the same time battle with unexpected large fish, with confidence. To that purpose, technology Super Free System, allows the spool to unwind the braid in a consistent, trouble-free way and the lure to reach the end of the water column.
The Lever Wind functions even in the Free Spool function ensuring that the braided line leaves the reel with minimal friction.
