Taftec tips are solid tips that possess a great amount of strength, while maintaining a supple bending.
To effectively fish for Squids and Cuttlefish, it is important that your rods are capable of casting a wide range of squid jigs, often at a long distance. This is where the Salty Advance Eging really shines. The Medium action has enough flex to work with smaller Egis, of size 2, whilst having the power and speed to cast size 4 lures at great distances too.

To further enhance the powerful casting performance of the Salty Advance Eging, Shimano has equipped the rod with high-quality Alconite K-Type stainless steel guides, with a SiC ring, to ensure trouble-free line management and minimize casting problems, at high speed, or slack line when retrieving. To complement the powerful blank, a Shimano DPS reel seat is fitted to the modern EVA grips.
