Remember the King TR Sinker, a special lead for improving the casting and sinking abilities of your squid jigs (), brought by Yamashita ()? Now you have the complete opposite. Yamashita has incorporated in the King Egi Shallow Tune Head parts, made of floating material, to slow down the sinking rate of a squid jig.
The Yamashita Tune Head can be attached to the tip of your squid jigs head and allow you to adopt your Eging style to the changing conditions of the sea, such as the changing the water depth, wind direction, currents, etc. They are “worn” on the head of your Egi lure, to be able to use it in shallow water beds, without having to resort to the use of other squid jigs.
In many ways the Shallow Tune Head is very similar to the TR sinker. Simply insert in the Tune Head, the head of the Egi and fix it with the silicon band (included). This way you can adjust the sinking speed of your squid jig and create a sinking rate that does not exist in the Yamashita line-up. If your squid jig is Basic Type, then with the addition of the Tune Head it will become a lure between the Basic and Shallow type. The addition of this accessory, will modify the sinking rate of the squid jig.
The highly visible, white color makes it easy to spot from a distance during daytime and produces a mild fluorescent effect during the night.
By interchanging the weight and color of the Yamashita squid jig, the appeal to squids changes and your jig becomes more effective. It can be easily attached and detached, hence it is not necessary to carry with you a large amount of Egi (), in case you want to fish at lower depths, or explore the potential of each level of the water column. The Tune Head transforms the squid jig into a “Shallow” lure, with a 45 sinking posture, but its movement in the recovery phase remains horizontal while keeping the swimming posture natural.
The Yamashita Egi Shallow Tune Head is a necessary accessory because of its versatility, as it can be fitted to most of the squid jigs in the market. It is compatible for example, with the following Yamashita models: Egi-OH Live, Egi-OH Live Search, Egi-OH K and many more.
