The Zipbaits Rigge 43SS has been designed for Light Rock Fishing and combines the virtues of Crank Baits and small Swim Minnows into a marvelous, little lure.
The Rigge lure comes in 43mm and 4.3 grams and aims for fish that feed in the upper water column such as Aji, Mackerels, Saddled Sea Breams and White Sea Breams. What is amazing with this lure is that despite its tiny size, it incorporates a very important Zipbaits technology, the Mag Drive. As you will notice in the interior of its semi transparent body, a special moving weight has been placed onto a horizontal axis, equipped with magnetic plates. This weight, rapidly shifts sides during casting, from the back to the front of the lure, giving it an impressive casting distance.
The Slow Sinking version is not that different to the lighter, little brother Rigge 43F. The Slow Sinking version will come handy when you need faster access to deeper points of the water column, or more discreet presentations in water layers that the floating lure, can not reach. In addition, if the wind is not on our side, the ZBL Rigge 43SS will cast farther.
As you begin your retrieve, the lip pushes the lure to lean forward and the weight moves to the front of the lure, where it is magnetically locked in place. Thus it provides a very realistic horizontal positioning and great lure stability, while jerking and twitching.
The Zipbaits Rigge can be worked with slow, or rapid steady retrieves, but mainly with erratic, nervous jerks and twitches. It has been designed to swim in shallow waters, so it can be used in rocky substrate, in shallow shores, or in deeper water. Its round profile and bulky shape, make it appear like a mouthful bite, so it will often appeal to larger predators such as Sea bass. This is a great little lure, to amplify our LRF sessions.
